Firas Almahamid

Senior Vice President, Chief Digital & Information Officer

Firas Almahamid serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Digital & Information Officer at Brooks Automation, a role he has held since November 2021. He leads the company’s digital strategy and drives digital-enabled transformation, including business process excellence, data analytics, and AI initiatives. 

Prior to joining Brooks, Firas spent seven years at Smith+Nephew, where he served as Global Vice President leading IT for commercial organizations, following an earlier role leading IT for Asia-Pacific and Europe. Before that, he spent 15 years at Stryker in senior leadership roles of increasing responsibility, including leading IT and technology-enabled transformation in Europe and overseeing the company’s global enterprise systems. 

Firas holds a master’s degree in computer science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and an Executive MBA in technology management from the University of Lausanne.
